What Happens at the CJE Ranch?
At CJE, kids from all over get to learn about horses. Not just how to ride them, but how to take care of them too! It’s a special place where children and horses become good friends.
When you visit the CJE ranch, you might see children learning how to brush a horse’s shiny coat, or how to carefully clean their hooves. You might see them learning to put on a saddle and bridle, getting ready for a ride. And of course, you’ll see lots of smiles as they learn to guide their horse around the riding arena!
More Than Just Riding
Learning to ride a horse is super exciting, but at CJE, it’s about more than just that. When children work with horses, they learn important things like:
- Responsibility: Horses need a lot of care. Children learn to be responsible by helping to feed and groom them.
- Patience: Learning new things takes time, and horses can be big! Children learn to be patient with themselves and with the animals.
- Confidence: Riding a horse can make you feel so proud! It helps children build confidence in themselves.
- Teamwork: Sometimes, children work together to care for the horses or learn new riding skills. This teaches them how to be part of a team.
- Respect for Animals: Children learn to understand and respect these wonderful creatures.
A Safe and Happy Place
The grown-ups at CJE make sure that everyone is safe and has a good time. They are experts with horses and love teaching children. They create a friendly and welcoming space where kids can just be kids, learn new things, and enjoy the company of these gentle giants.
Many children who come to CJE say it’s their favorite place to be. They make new friends (both human and horse!) and discover talents they never knew they had.
